Sizes and fastenings

How big are the pieces?

Lapel pins are between 14 and 32 mm tall; the exact size of every pin is on its label, in millimetres and inches. Cufflink faces are about 18 × 18 mm. Tie bars are 55 × 6 mm. Lapel chains are 11 cm long with a charm of about 14 mm. Pocket squares are 33 × 33 cm.

Some images show the pins much bigger. Why?

In the display case on our homepage and in some close-ups, pieces are shown enlarged so the casting can be seen. Each product also has a scale image on a millimetre card, and the true size is written on its label.

How do lapel pins fasten?

With a post and a butterfly clutch. Wider pins have two posts and two clutches, so they cannot turn on the lapel. Push the post through the lapel (or through the buttonhole) and press the clutch on from behind until it clicks.

Which cufflinks fit my shirt?

Our cufflinks have a bullet-back swivel toggle. They are made for shirts with French (double) cuffs or single cuffs with buttonholes on both sides, not for shirts with buttons on the cuff.

Where does a tie bar go?

Between the third and fourth buttons of your shirt, clipping the tie to the shirt placket. Our tie bars suit ties 5–8 cm wide.

How is a lapel chain worn?

The bar goes through the lapel buttonhole, the chain drapes across the lapel with its charm, and the stick-pin fixes lower on the lapel with its clutch.

Materials and care

What are the pieces made of?

Lapel pins, cufflinks, tie bars and chain charms are cast zinc alloy with a plated finish (antique brass tone, gunmetal or antique bronze tone) or a chalk-white matte enamel. They are not solid silver or gold. Pocket squares are printed polyester twill with rolled edges.

How should I look after them?

Wipe metal pieces with a soft dry cloth, keep them away from perfume and water, and store them separately so they do not scratch each other. Take pieces off a garment before it is washed or dry cleaned.

Are they safe for children?

No. They contain small parts and sharp pins and are not suitable for children under 3 years.

Weddings and groups

Can I order for the whole wedding party?

Yes. Add the pieces you need to your bag and check out as usual. Many couples give the groom the lapel pin and chain of one motif and the groomsmen pins from the same hall. The Lapel Studio helps you plan a set.

How early should I order?

At least three weeks before the wedding, so there is time for delivery and, if needed, an exchange. Delivery times per country are on our Shipping page.

Do you hire or rent pieces?

No. Everything on QUORIELLE is sold, not hired. The pieces are yours to keep.

Prices and payment

Which currency will I pay in?

The currency of your delivery country. Choose your country in the language and currency panel at the top of the page; prices, bag and checkout switch to that currency, and every price shows its currency code.

Which payment methods do you accept?

The payment methods available for your order are shown at checkout. Payments are processed by our payment providers over an encrypted connection; we never see or store your full card number.

What will appear on my statement?

The charge appears as QUORIELLE.

Do you have discount codes?

No. We do not run promotions or discount codes at the moment.

Returns

Can I return a piece?

Yes, unworn pieces within 30 days of delivery. In the EU and UK you also have a 14-day statutory right of withdrawal, which you can use online on our Withdraw from contract here page. Details are in Returns & Refunds.
